Liverpool born Frank Carlyle has a passion for his home city . There is no doubt that his enthusiasm rubs off on other people through his history walks and talks.
He specialises in all aspects of Liverpool history from the origins, the slave trade, social and economic issues of the 19th century, first world war, architecture and Liverpool’s most famous murders.
A very animated and lively orator, he presents speeches and lectures to packed audiences around Merseyside. From history loving members of the public to the Royal College of Surgeons, The Architechs Guild and people from the world of enterainment including, (Sir,maybe soon?) Ken Dodd.
Frank has a weekly Tuesday slot on The Tony Snell show on BBC RADIO MERSEYIDE in which he answers questions from the listeners. His very popular DVD series has consistantly been a best seller, in fact, last year he even out sold Dr Who?
No wonder he's smiling!
